Easter Eggstravaganza Volunteer Opportunities

Listed below are descriptions of the different departments that work together to bless the people who attend Easter Eggstravaganza! Volunteers can help set up and clean up each department they are helping in. Set up occurs Friday, April 11th starting around 5:00pm. Easter Eggstravaganza takes place on Saturday, April 12th from 10:00am to 12:30pm. Clean up will follow directly after!

Connection Team

The Connection team roams around as families are participating in the various activities. Connection team members simply... connect! This team's primary focus is to talk with families and share Christ's light! Invite them to join us for worship this Easter Sunday!

Eggstravaganza Lite

Eggstravaganza Lite is a sensory friendly experience for kiddos who do better in a calmer environment. ELite has several opportunities to show love to the families that attend. This includes serving lunch, helping with crafts and cookie decorating and playing with kids!

Cookie Decorating

Cookie decorating is a great way to interact with families individually as volunteers assist children with decorating sugar cookies. Things can get quite messy with frosting and sprinkles, but a great opportunity to joyfully serve those in our community.

Welcome Team

The Welcome Team stands in the main entrance of Thunder Basin, smiling and greeting all in attendance. Volunteers will help prepare visitor bags, pass them out to attendees and help direct people as they come in.

Egg Hunt

The Egg Hunt is the main event of Easter Eggstravaganza. Volunteers will continuously add candy-filled eggs into the stations as the kids collect them. Some younger participants might need some help finding them!

Animal Pictures

Animal pictures is a great facilitator position! Families are going to greet the animals and take pictures of their children with their own phones. Volunteers can offer to take pictures if their whole family would like a photo together. Volunteers also need to keep an eye on those animals!

Crafts

Similarly to Cookie Decorating, the crafts station is a place to greet and interact with families individually. Volunteers can help assist the children and their parents with the crafts provided!

Signage / Lines

If you have attended an Easter Eggstravaganza, you know that thousands of people enter at the blink of an eye! Visual signage and directing lines is extremely important in helping visitors feel welcomed and know where to go. This job is not only before and after, but during the event as well. Volunteers need to stand by lines and signage to help answer any questions on where to go.

Balloons

Volunteers in the balloons department need to learn up to two to three designs to make for families. Kids will request for a design and possibly a balloon color! This is a great opportunity to individually interact with the families from the community.
